Denial, Denial, and a Confession
Can You Believe?
Can you believe Trump echoing the Saudis’ denials and comparing the murderous Crown Prince to Kavanaugh?
Can you believe Trump is still in full denial about climate change? This week he said there were “scientists on both sides of the issue” – just like there were “good people on both sides” at the deadly KKK march in Charlottesville.
Can you believe Mitch McConnell actually confessed that the GOP plans to pay for its $1.9 trillion tax scam by slashing Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid?

Hits and Misses – the week’s best and worst moves
Hit of the Week: The news that Democrats in tight House races have a big lead over Republicans – fueled by a huge lead ($46m to $15m!) in small donations.
Miss of the Week: For a self-inflicted wound this week, it’s hard to top Trump calling Stormy Daniels “horse face” – just in case any women voters needed a reminder of how sexist he is.
Hot House Race of the Week
This week indicted GOP Congressman Duncan Hunter Jr. doubled down on his vile anti-Muslim ad by dragging out retired military officers and his own father to attack challenger Ammar Campa-Najjar as an Islamic terrorist. Then came news that Ammar has a big fundraising lead over Hunter. No wonder: Ammar is a terrific candidate who is getting strong support. Check him out here and help Flip the 50th.

Then I speak with Cory Booker about the importance of fighting to win the upcoming midterm elections, and Nicole talks with Anthony Atamanuik about his Comedy Central hit, The President Show.
