Why the Senate?
The Senate proposes and considers new laws, approves or rejects presidential nominations, provides advice and consent on international treaties, and serves as the high court for impeachment trials. Although the U.S. House of Representatives also works on new legislation, only the Senate performs these other duties.
Why so important?
Republicans control both Houses and the Presidency. If we aren’t able to retain the Democratic Senate seats, we’ll have virtually no voice in government. In just 18 months we can change the landscape.
WITH a senate majority, the Dems can do all of the above PLUS conduct investigations into elements of the executive branch and put an end to the lunacy.
